A visit to Granada would not be really complete without watching some flamenco in the caves of Sacromonte. This is the only city of Spain where gypsies have always lived in caves and therefore it is there, in the caves, and not anywhere else in the city, where flamenco originated and the gypsy parties "zambras" always took place that you will be able to experience the very flamenco heart of Granada.

“Venta El Gallo” is our favourite place in Granada to have a flamenco evening, inside a cave in the most beautiful part of the picturesque gypsy neighbourhood of Sacromonte. Here you can enjoy some of Granada's best flamenco artists. The quality of the show is amazing, the refined technique and strong character of the performers really shows the power of flamenco dancing and the proximity to them, guaranteed because of the small size of the cave, allows you to really feel the heart and passion of flamenco in this outstanding location in incomparable surroundings .

You can chose to go there on your own and pay only for the show, or you can pay a bit more to be picked up at our front door by their own bus. This option also includes a stop for a short guided visit of the Albaizin. And If you really want to treat yourself, “Venta El Gallo” also offers an excellent three course dinner, excellent traditional Granada's cuisine with its unavoidable Moorish-Andalusi influence. Dinner includes a welcoming drink, usually sangria, on the terrace on top of the cave (weather providing) with a wonderful view of the Alhambra and Sacromonte. Dinner stars about 75 minutes before the show does. Beverages are all included and a drink of your choice will be served free during the show. Having dinner there also ensures you already have a good place from where to watch the show when the groups arrive later.

Altogether a visit to “Venta El Gallo” will definitely make for a lovely full flamenco evening in one of the most unique Spanish neighbourhoods.
