AN INSIGHT INTO THE ROOMS, THE PLACE, THE NEIGHBOURHOOD & YOUR HOST |
IMPORTANT! ALL OUR ROOMS ARE QUIET. NO NOISE AT ALL FROM THE STREET
Although the flat is right in the centre and our living room faces the most beautiful gardens in Granada,
the great news is that all the rooms are absolutely and incredibly quiet as they face a back street with no traffic at all.
Believe us, the only thing you will hear in your room is the birds singing in the morning...
and maybe some flamenco music from a neighbour's radio.
A delight!
All our rooms are very comfortable. They are contemporarily furnished in warm colours and are bright and well ventilated.

EN-SUITE LUXURY FAMILY ROOM "NERUDA" FOR 1, 2, 3 OR 4 PEOPLE (5 UPON REQUEST ADDING A SINGLE BED) This is our biggest and best room. 25 square metres with a huge en-suite full equipped bath-room with bathtub and shower and its own window. It has two double beds. An extra single bed can be added upon request to accommodate 3 or 5 people. This room is the perfect choice for a couple with one or two teenagers (remember our guests have to be at least 14) but also for two couples travelling together or even a group of 3, 4 or 5 friends if some of them don't mind sleeping together. "NERUDA" has an armchair, an upholstered bench, a desk with lamp, a chair, a huge build-in wardrobe and a full size mirror . No wonder this spacious and very comfortable room is our most popular and most sought after. |

EN-SUITE SINGLE ROOM "CAVAFY" FOR 1 PERSON (2 PEOPLE EXCEPTIONALLY UPON REQUEST) Despite being smaller than the other rooms "CAVAFY" is really cosy and it is fully equipped with a 120 x 190 cm bed, a small desk with lamp and chair, build-in wardrobe and a full en-suite bathroom with shower and its own window. This room is a good choice for solo travellers and a real bargain for couples at 49 Euros per night/room including breakfast |

FAMILY ROOM WITH SHARED BATHROOM "LORCA" UP TO 4 PEOPLE This big room has two double beds. It can accommodate up to 4 people. The room is not en-suite but it shares the bathroom with just one more room. In other words, if you are 4 or 5 people travelling together and book the 2 rooms, the bathroom would actually become a private one used only for your group. This is an ideal room for two couples travelling together, or a couple with one or two teenagers (remember our guests have to be at least 14). It can also accommodate 3 or 4 friends travelling together if they don't mind sleeping together. This is a good option if you and your friends would prefer not to expend too much on accommodation and save a little bit for extra beers and "tapas" instead. ;-) This room has a desk, chairs and an upholstered bench, a build-in wardrobe and a full size mirror, and it is very cosy and quiet and well ventilated. |
|
TRIPLE ROOM WITH SHARED BATHROOM "BENEDETTI" UP TO 3 PEOPLE This is an ideal room for two or three friends travelling together as it has three single beds. The beds can be pushed together for couples who would not accept having to sleep more than a few inches apart...;-) Or pulled apart for close friends who on the other hand would not like to sleep so close. Jokes apart, this spacious and bright room shares the bathroom with "LORCA". The shared bathroom is huge and fully equipped and has its own window. Note that if you are 4 or 5 people travelling together and book the 2 rooms, the bathroom would actually become a private one used only for your group. This room has a desk and a chair, a build-in wardrobe and a mirror. As all the rooms in our B&B it is very quiet and well ventilated. |

SOCIAL ROOM We have an oriental corner, where there are rugs, cushions, tea pots and tea tables and a narguile or water pipe. It is an exotic, cosy, quiet and relaxing place where you can read and listen to music while drinking a free cup of tea or coffee. Although smoking is not allowed an exception can be made if you want to try narguile (water pipe) which actually smells lovely. On the other side of the living room there is a large table by the window. Here is where you will have your breakfast in the morning with a gorgeous view over the Gardens of Triunfo. A computer is available for free Internet access and there is also Wi-Fi access for those who bring their lap computer. Please note that the social room cannot be used for preparing or eating your own meals and that there is not access to the kitchen whatsoever. Having said that, tea bags and boiling water are available all day and you can of course have a sandwich or a piece of cake or some biscuits with it. Needles to say there are interesting photo and guide books on Granada in several languages as well as magazines and novels for you to read while listening to some relaxing world music in the background.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD Granada B&B Homestay is right in the centre, opposite from "Jardines del Triunfo" which are probably the most beautiful gardens in Granada. This is the most monumental part of Granada. The amazing hospital and church of San Juan de Dios, The University Square with the Faculty of Laws and the Botanic Gardens, The Hospital Real, The Cathedral... Everything is just a mere 5 minute walk from here. Elvira street with its many bars, restaurants and clubs and the old Arab Elvira Gate, are just opposite from us. The brand new promenade along Avenida Constitución is just below our flat offering gorgeous views towards the Albaicin and Sierra Nevada which can be also enjoyed from the living room -see the image on the left (you can click on it) - We are connected by direct buses with each and every part of Granada, including the Airport, the Bus Station and the Conference Centre. The Railway station is just 400 metres (10 minute walk) from here.

YOUR HOST There are many ways of travelling: From reading a book or watching pictures to embarking on a ten-year-long round-the-world trip. As a traveller I've been to many countries and stayed with locals enjoying their hospitality. Now, as a host, I have people from all over the world staying with me and, hopefully, enjoying my hospitality too. I find all ways of travelling are very enriching as there isn't a better way of getting to know ourselves than getting to know and understand the others first. It isn't a difficult task. We aren't so different after all |
